In order to prepare our Meals on Wheels seniors for Hurricane Season, we will be delivering a box of 5 shelf-stable meals to all 4,500 seniors who live in Harris County. These meals should be saved for any weather situation that prevents their regular MOW Driver from getting to them, safely (severe winds, high water on roadways, etc.).
Our Distribution Support Team will help load vehicles who will set out on deliveries. This is a drive-through pick-up process and we want to keep the line of cars moving and get folks on the road! Our line opens at 9:00 AM, so our Distribution Team is asked to report at 8:00 AM, to review the process and get to your spot. Parking instructions will be sent, as the event nears.
By responding to this need, you are registering 1 person only. If you plan to have others accompany you, each person 18 years of age or older needs to complete this process. Kiddos, age 10 and up, are welcome to join their grown-up, to help. Please email us at opimpact@imgh.org, if you have registered and plan to bring kiddos with you. We will make sure they have a task with which they can help! :)
