Hi Community Partners! We, at BEI, are excited to welcome our new Afghani neighbors to Houston! Bilingual Education Institute partners with local refugee resettlement agencies to provide English classes. As you have probably heard, Houston expects over 1,000 Afghanis (kids and adults) to be relocated to our area this year. We anticipate a great need in ESL classes for adults – some with little to no English skills. Because of this great need, we need help from ESL Teacher volunteers. Our trainers at BEI will provide ESL Teacher Volunteer training to help volunteers get started. We will guide our new volunteers with materials, resources, and ideas.
This is a great volunteer opportunity with employable skills.
