UAHT will host a Red Sand Project and have a booth at a Juneteenth Celebration hosted by Emancipation Avenue Market in Third Ward on June 19th from 4 to 8 p.m.
The annual holiday marks the end of slavery in the United States, and UAHT is honored to help commemorate this significant date and event.
We will need at least four and up to six volunteers to help us engage attendees by inviting them to remember human trafficking victims through the spreading of Red Sand in the pavement cracks, writing statistics and/or inspiring messages on the ground, and passing out UAHT fliers.
