Want to learn how manage a volunteer project? Volunteer Houston needs YOU!
Volunteer Houston is hosting a variety of service projects across Houston for 400 employees from Dow Chemical on September 13th. We need project site leaders to help make this day of service a success!
There are 7 projects ranging from assembling kits to painting a fence and we’ll need 2-3 project site leaders at each location. We will also need 4 “floaters” who are willing to be flexible in their assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- REQUIRED: Attend project orientation on September 10th from 6-7:30pm. Agency representatives will go through the details of their projects with their site leaders. Free pizza for all!!
- Day of:
- Arrive at your project location promptly at 8am and check in with your agency point of contact.
- Assist in site prep and staging of supplies and equipment.
- Monitor supplies and volunteer assignments to ensure everyone is have a great experience.
- Post-event collection of supplies and trash clean up.
Volunteers will receive:
- Volunteer Houston T-Shirt and water bottle
- Snacks and water throughout the day
- Experience managing a volunteer project!
