What is Operation IMpact?
Over 4,300 clients who receive Meals on Wheels will also receive ve days worth of shelf-stable meals and bottled water, to ensure they can eat if IM’s regular deliveries are interrupted due to a storm. It’s a family friendly opportunity and a great way to give back.
What is required to volunteer for Operation IMpact?
Operation IMpact is a family friendly opportunity and great way to give back. A few things are necessary:
•1-2 Pick-up trucks, SUV/Vans, or trailers for Team Leader to pick up items from assigned pickup site.
•Team Leaders must attend a webinar training prior to Operation IMpact.
•Team Leaders recruit volunteers to help deliver items!
Where do Operation IMpact volunteers go to pick up the items?
There are 7 regions across the Greater Houston area:
• Bear Creek Area
• Chinatown
• East Downtown
• Galveston County
• Humble
• Midtown
• Westpark Tollway and Hwy 6
