Volunteers are needed to spend time with our hospice patients.
We at Enhabit are looking for compassionate, patient, loving volunteers to spend time with our patients. They need and want someone to share their final days with and we want people with a nurturing heart to give them that most basic of needs, companionship. You would spend time with the patients talking, listening, playing games or anything the patient may want. Our volunteer program is a hands-off program, meaning you would not provide any direct "patient care". You would be there for support, companionship and possibly some light meal prep, house keeping or pet care.
Our offices are in Clear Lake and the Woodlands area but we have patients all over the Greater Houston Area and Woodlands. The training would be done in our Houston office but the opportunity would be in the Cypress Area.
Due to the nature of the patients’ conditions each volunteer is required to go through the necessary training to volunteer with our patients. The process to become a volunteer takes a little bit but the rewards of giving your time to these patients is beyond measure. You can give these people some diginity in their final days.
