Volunteers are needed to mentor clients upon completion of the Employment Certification Program. These volunteers should be working professionals with experience (or have previous experience) with resumes, interviews, searching for jobs and a heart for helping clients succeed in the work place. Mentors should have maturity, professionalism, a desire to positively impact the life of a human being. Mentors need to be able to make a six month commitment to the client. The commitment requirements are: -one face-to-face meeting per month (roughly 1 one) -one telephone call per week (20-30 minutes) -monthly email to program staff summarizing the month. Phone calls and face to face visits can be scheduled a time convenient for the mentor and mentee and do not have to completed during normal office hours unless desired. A criminal background check will also be completed on the mentor.
