Board Member
Serving on a board of directors is a major commitment that should not be undertaken lightly.
The BYCEM Board of Directors is composed of leaders from the nonprofit and for-profit sectors who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. A board member will commit to serving on the BYCEM board for a two-year term. Board Members should be supportive and passionate about our mission and help the board fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities. Board members will attend meetings (normally the Fifth Sundays, and conference call meetings as needed) to discuss special projects and the general functioning of the organization, as well as serve on at least one committee (maybe a one-member committee). Board members will also attend special events, identify potential donors, and help with fundraising activities.
Board Executive Member – Treasurer
The BYCEM Board has an opening for a Treasurer. The treasurer would be aiding in the accounting aspect of the organization, providing financial statements (generated by the accounting program), filing of 990s (small form), and should have financial knowledge. The expectations of a Board Member are applicable to the Executive Board Member.
