TWRC has a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating, organizing and working with people. TWRC is primarily a volunteer organization, with only a few year-round employees and a few seasonal employees.
Primary Responsibilities include:
* Establishing recruiting sources for volunteers
* Coordinating membership interests with organizational needs and assigning volunteers to meet organizational needs appropriate to the volunteers’ interests and skills
* Coordinating and, in some cases, delivering volunteer training
* Ensuring a volunteer scheduling approach that offers predictability to volunteer support and provides back-up when volunteers do not show
* Providing ongoing support and guidance for volunteers
Qualifications:
* High school graduate (minimum)
* Experience in volunteer management
* Comfortable working with the public
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Ability to work in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions
* Able to work with, and through, others to get work done
* Familiar with a computer and have some software knowledge of Microsoft products (MSWord, Excel, Email)
This position is a non-exempt hourly position with a 20-30 hour work week based on seasonal needs. The individual must be able to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings. The job does require standing for long periods of time and some lifting.
