Veterans and families are needed for upcoming Month of the Military Child service project.......
WHO: Veteran/Military members and/or Veteran/Military Families are needed to become Volunteer Leaders in their communities. For those who want to be Volunteer Leaders for this project (need 8 veterans/military families) will have the opportunity to engage young servant leaders and promote service as a path to leadership. This will also be the time to recognize military children for their sacrifices. These Volunteer Leaders will work together to address a community need how to develop a project, how to get people to help you, and how to keep that help amongst other things for 8 weeks (1 hour a week of your time). By the time you complete your project at the end of the program, you will be trained service leaders.
Also need volunteers to assist with this service project.
WHAT: Month of the Military Child, Operation "Blankie" will make/sew blankets with their service member/s photos sewn on them for the military children. The event will commence with the Travis Manion Foundation's "If Not Me, Then Who presentation, directs towards youths to provide the content for why service is important.
WHEN: ASAP, actual event will be take place April 24, 2016 @ 10:00am-2:00pm.

WHY: To hold an event centered around Veteran and family volunteerism and developing volunteer leaders in our community after serving.
