9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance Houston

Project Details

In remembrance of the fallen of 9/11 and all First Responders and Armed Forces who serve and protect us, we gather to show our solidarity and respect by volunteering at the Houston National Cemetery on Saturday September 6, 2025. 

8:30 am Volunteer Check-in and a volunteer waiver must be completed to participate.

9:00 am Honor and Remembrance Ceremony. ALL are encouraged to attend. 

9:30 am - 11:30 am Service on cemetery grounds 

Your participation is greatly appreciated!  Volunteers will be involved in various service such as headstone aligning & cleaning; raking, cleaning & sweeping of grounds.  All necessary supplies will be provided.  Items to consider bringing: hats, gloves, water and sunscreen.

No Age Restrictions:  This is a wonderful opportunity for all Houstonians, families and groups are welcome! Please ensure all young children are with a responsible guardian. Guardian must complete a volunteer waiver form for anyone under the age of 18 years old. 

Parking: Parking will be onsite. Please be respectful of the grounds and ensure all four wheels remain on the street when traveling and parked.

We ask all volunteers to be respectful of these hallowed grounds while on the Houston National Cemetery property.
