GBF will be hosting a group nurdle survey and community debris cleanup at Sylvan Beach Park! Come participate in citizen science by collecting nurdles and debris with us! No experience is necessary. Our staff will teach you everything you need to know!
PURPOSE
Removing debris and trash along roads and waterways helps protect wildlife, improves water quality, and enhances the health of the Greater Houston and Galveston Bay region.
ROLE
You will work alongside the GBF staff and other volunteers to collect, sort, and dispose of various types of debris such as plastics and other trash. This activity requires mild physical movement, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting 10lbs. **All minors must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian, and must be accompanied by an approved adult chaperone or parent/guardian who is also registered for the event.**
