Galveston Bay Foundation’s aquatic nursery program grows and prepares plants that are critical to restoring wetlands and improving the health of Galveston Bay.
Volunteers will help care for our aquatic native plants as they grow. This hands-on opportunity is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors, learning about coastal ecosystems, and making a difference for Galveston Bay.
Tasks include:
- Springing
- Weeding
- Shifting plants around
- Repotting wetland plants
- Removing algae buildups in the ponds
No experience is needed; we will show you what to do!
Expect the work to be muddy and wet. All supplies will be provided.
