Please note that this post is NOT an application. If you would like to be involved, please fill out the brief form HERE.
PAIR's second annual Career Carnival is an event exposing refugee and newcomer students to the plethora of Houston career possibilities in a fun, interactive way! The event will feature exhibit booths run by different professionals who will share about their jobs and lead short activities with our students to help them learn more about different jobs they could have in the future.
There are a couple different ways to get involved, either as a booth exhibitor (mentioned above; detailed in the Volunteer Houston post "Calling passionate professionals: share about your career with refugee youth!") OR as an event support volunteer, detailed in this post.
What will I be doing? There are a variety of responsibilities we need help with! Towards the end of the application, you will be asked to specify any preferences you have for role assignments, which include:
- Set up/Decorations
- Guest Sign-in & Orientation
- Student Sign-in & Orientation
- Game / Raffle Booth Operation
- Prize Booth Operation
- Food Logistics & Serving
- General Crowd Control
- Breakdown & Cleanup
How do I get involved? Please fill out the brief form HERE. If you have any questions, please reach out to PAIR's volunteer manager, Allison Hall at allison@pairhouston.org. Thank you!
