The Pan African Cultural Festival (PACF) is an outdoor, family friendly Festival that joins other countries and US cities in celebration of African Liberation Day. At S.H.A.P.E. Center the Pan African Cultural Festival traditional takes place the Saturday before Memorial Day. This year, the Festival, funded in part by the City of Houston through the Arts Alliance, will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Our Park, adjacent to SHAPE Center, 3815 Live Oak, Houston TX 77004. The Park will be filled from 11am - 5 pm with live music, clothing, jewelry, books, and more vendors, as well as organizational booths with vital information designed to help improve the quality of life. Hands-on Zones for children will include, but not be limited to games, bouncy house and take-away arts and crafts.
Volunteers are welcomed and needed and invited to enjoy and to assist with the success of the 45th Annual Pan African Cultural Festival. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with set up, help vendors off-load, assist with stage management and hospitality, monitor the grounds, help direct traffic to parking areas, monitor and greet guests coming into SHAPE's building, and assisting with the breakdown at the conclusion of the Festival.
