Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to serve as a Volunteer Grant Writer for the Katherine and Everett Robinson Foundation. The Grant Writer will play a vital role in securing funding to support our programs and initiatives aimed at positively impacting the lives of youth and families in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
- Develop grant proposals and applications in collaboration with the executive director and program staff.
- Write compelling narratives that effectively communicate the organization's mission, goals, and impact.
- Compile necessary documentation, budget information, and supporting materials for grant submissions.
- Ensure timely submission of grant proposals and follow-up on grant applications as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, awards, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop fundraising strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals.
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities and gather supporting information.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Knowledge of grant writing best practices and familiarity with grant application processes.

- Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising is preferred but not required.
Time Commitment: This is a volunteer position with flexible hours, requiring an estimated time commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week, depending on grant deadlines and project needs.
