We have a fantastic opportunity to get involved and enhance our local environment. Greens Bayou Coalition with North Houston District will host a community event at Buckboard Park. We invite you to join us and be a part of this meaningful event to help enhance the natural beauty of our park.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2023
- Time: 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM
- Location: Buckboard Park – 70 Buckboard Drive, Houston, TX 77073
Your involvement will help increase shade in a thriving park where children love to run around and play. It's a fantastic opportunity to engage with your employees, neighbors, and customers while making a positive impact on our environment. A few other impacts the planting of trees within the Greater Houston Area provides includes:
- Trees reduce pollutants such as nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, and particulates.
- Trees absorb and clean excess rainwater through their roots, which helps hold the soil in place, preventing erosion.
- Exposure to nature and green space benefits our psychological and physical health.
- Trees provide shelter for wildlife and are a food source for many species of animals.
To RSVP or learn more about the event, please contact us at Marty.Hughes@Greensbayou.org. Your support is crucial in making this event a success, and we are looking forward to your participation.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our community. Let's work hand in hand to make Buckboard Park a more inviting place for everyone to enjoy.
