Join the Department of Neighborhoods Volunteer Initiatives Program for Global Youth Service Day on Saturday April 20, 2024. This year, Global Youth Service Day will be at Denver Harbor Community Center in District H. This youth lead initiative is looking for 30 youth volunteers between the ages of 12-25 years old. Volunteers will be assisting the community center Senior Garden and Park cleanup.
By registering, we will add you to the Global Youth Service contact log and we will reach out to you closer to date to confirm your participation and provide additional information regarding the community service-learning project and waiver participation forms.
Volunteer duties for Global Youth Service Day:
- raking of Leafs in community garden
- cleaning out flower beds of garden
- adding soil and planting seeds to garden bed
- picking up litter around the park and community
- dumping trash bags into dumpster
