MISSION: BUG is a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to fresh veggies, educate the community about gardening and good nutrition and to create a safe gathering place.
PURPOSE: Fill a gap for fresh food and veggies in communities with high poverty, low transportation access or for families who lack access to a personal vehicle and where the area is designated a food desert, like Third Ward, Houston, TX.
HOW: Through corporate sponsorships, volunteers and generous donors like you, BUG is able to fulfill our mission in providing access to veggies to the greater Third Ward community.
DONATION DRIVE: As we gear up for the Fall 2023. we need your help once more! We are need of TOOLS, SUPPLIES, WATER, and SKILLED LABOR.
PRIORITY: Fence installation - to protect the veggies and veggie plants that our hard-working volunteers grow each week that are donated to community residents, organizations, and provided to small businesses in the Greater Third Ward community.
