Client File Review Volunteer - Quality Management

Position: Client File Review Volunteer

Organization: Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC)

Job Summary: As a Client File Review Volunteer in the Quality Management department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of client files at HAWC. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality will contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of HAWC's services to individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of client files to ensure they are accurately documented and meet HAWC's standards and guidelines.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of client information, including intake forms, assessments, progress notes, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Cross-reference client files with internal databases and systems to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Identify any missing or incomplete information and communicate findings to the Quality Management team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict privacy guidelines when handling client information.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for file review and document any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Management team to address any identified issues and assist in developing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of the files reviewed and assist in generating reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Respect for client confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Willingness to learn and follow established protocols and procedures.

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible hours based on your availability and the project needs. Preferably 9am-12pm or 12pm to 3pm one day a week
