Help Grow Plants for the Food Pantry

Description

If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, help us grow our community garden! You will help plant and care for plants that will produce fruits & vegetables that will be used in our food pantry or as a part of a healthy lunch for seniors.

The garden is located behind the Mamie George Community Center in Richmond, TX.

  • Volunteers most needed Wednesday mornings 7:45-10:00 am
  • Monday       7:45-10:00 am
  • Wednesday  7:45-10:00am
  • Friday         7:45-10:00am

No experience necessary! Just be able to take direction is all that is needed.

  • Must be able to work outside in morning weather (7:45 - 10:00 am) while being on your feet and bending to pick vegetables
  • No heavy lifting involved
  • Garden is organic except for ant killer and some fertilizer
