League City Pets Alive (LCPA) has cats and kittens available for adoption at SIX area pet supply stores. Currently we need volunteers in 3 stores in League City. Volunteers are needed to care for these cats during one-hour shifts. During a shift, the volunteer feeds, cleans the “condos,” socializes with the cats, talks to customers (potential adopters) and potential new volunteers. There is a one-hour training session with a store mentor to get you started, then you are all set to volunteer! These offsite venues have had a HUGE impact in keeping League City a No Kill community.

About shifts...
Each day, 7 days a week, there is a morning shift and an evening shift.
A typical shift is 45 - 60 minutes; arrival times are flexible.
We request you complete a minimum of 2 shifts per month, for at least a 3 month commitment.
And sign up for no more than 2 shifts at the same store per week; although you can do more shifts at other stores.

It is imperative that volunteers make their shift (or notify mentor) as the stores rely solely on volunteers for the care and feeding of the cats. Because of this, we will only consider applicants with commute times 20 minutes or less to the intersection of I45 and 646 in League City/Dickinson, including during morning and evening rush hour.
