RaiseUp Families is one of the 6 non-profits picked by Birdies for Charities to be allowed to have a booth at the Houston US Open this year!
We are a very small non-profit doing a lot of good! RaiseUp Families stabilizes parents from vulnerable communities who face unexpected financial crises so their children can focus on their education, giving them the opportunity for a better life. Through our 9-month assistance and education we help parents to become self-sufficient and prepared for future financial challenges where they will not have to utilize social services again.
Help us get our message to the masses at the US Open. We will provide general admission tickets to those who agree to volunteer for a shift. After you finish your shift, you are welcome to walk around and enjoy the US Open golf tournament and Pat Green concert that evening!
What to expect. Lots of walking while handing out RaiseUp Families koozies and asking people to sign up to our Instagram and/or Facebook.
Finally, we highly encourage you to use ride-sharing services or carpool with your group. Parking at the tournament is extremely limited.
The Cadence Bank Houston Open Rideshare entrance, presented by ALTO, is located conveniently next to the 14th Tee Box at Memorial Park Golf Course. Please let you driver know to drop you off at 1500 W Memorial Loop Drive. They can only enter W Memorial Loop from Memorial Drive. Once on W Memorial Loop, ask them to drop you off at the Rideshare Entrance. Signage and security will direct you to the location.
