ESL (English as a Second Language) Assistants

Are you a creative, flexible, self-starter who wants to assist the classroom instructor in an adult ESL (English as a Second Language) classroom?  Available positions are needed to help assist the instructor and the students.  Many students are learning English for specific purposes such as: a better job, to help their children in school, or to earn their citizenship. Interested volunteers should be able to read, write and speak English fluently. It is not necessary to be bilingual to be an assistant. Volunteer applicants must have the ability and willingness to assist class instructor with ESL students in a patient, kind, and respectful manner. Previous experience greatly appreciated but not necessary. Teacher orientation, training and classroom observation mandatory. Morning, afternoon and evening ESL Instructors opportunities available various days of the week at several sites.  Available shifts include: 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm
