This is a fun opportunity to help us tend to an urban, organic, demonstration garden located in a food desert. Tending to the garden includes tending to the vegetable beds, removing weeds, helping with the rainwater harvesting system, tending to the compost bins, building various projects and developing social media content.
We also have a pocket prairie that needs tending as well. The garden and prairie are beautiful places to spend time.
This is a great way to learn how to grow your own food so when you are ready to have your own garden bed at your home or apartment you will be ready to hit the ground running. It’s also a great way to burn some calories and develop community.
