It’s Tomato Tasting Time again! Tomatoes are the jewel in the crown of summer gardening, and for the 6th year running, Westbury Community Garden will be showcasing heirloom and hybrid tomatoes of all shapes and colors in its annual Tomato Tasting fundraiser event.
This is an outdoor event. Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up and breaking down the tables, canopies and other items used for this fun event. Volunteers will receive free admission and a Tomato Tasting Scorecard, and are encouraged to take part in a blind taste test of the 25-30 varieties of tomatoes entered in the Slicer, Salad, Paste and Cherry categories. At the end of the event we vote on the favorite in each of the four categories.
Volunteers must sign a Waiver and Release form in order to participate. For volunteers under the age of 18, a parent or guardian's signature is required.
