Volunteers are needed for our next See to Succeed initiative will be taking place Jan.15-Jan. 18,2019. Through this program, we provide eyewear at no cost to children in need. We need volunteers who can serve at least one day and will be glad to make a difference in children's lives!
Background on See to Succeed:
Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS)has partnered with University of Houston, San Jacinto College, Kids Vision For Life (The Essilor Foundation) and the Berkley Eye Center to provide free vision exams and eyewear to children and youth in need.
These vision exams are held at a clinic centrally located in Houston and approximately 200-400 children are bused in each day from area schools around the city to attend. We are need of volunteers to help guide and escort the children through the clinic and ensure each child is safe and receives services.
Time:
8:30 am-1:30pm
* Lunch, snacks and t shirts will be provided for volunteers
