Cy-Hope Weekend Backpack Program Volunteer Opportunities Cy-Hope volunteers deliver approximately 1,900 bags of food to 62 Cy-Fair ISD schools each week. This food provides weekend sustenance for families who would otherwise go without food. Cy-Hope has partnered with the Houston Food Bank and the food bags are delivered on Tuesday mornings. Volunteer opportunities include: Tuesday mornings-Assist with unloading the Houston Food Bank truck. Approximately 19 pallets of food are delivered each week and we are always in need of volunteers to help off-load the truck. Wednesday or Thursday food deliveries- Deliver food bags to CFISD schools. Each school is allocated a certain number of food bags that they receive. Volunteers are ?assigned? a participating school and deliver the food bags, preferably on Wednesday mornings. Food delivery Substitutes-In the event that a regularly scheduled volunteer is unable to make their deliver, a sub will fill in.
