StandOUT Youth is seeking a motivated intern to help create and lead a new parent engagement group for families in our program. This is an opportunity to build a new initiative from the ground up.
Responsibilities
• Help design the purpose and structure of the parent engagement group
• Speak with parents to learn what support, resources, and activities would benefit them
• Plan parent meetings, workshops, discussions, and family engagement opportunities
• Recruit parents to participate and maintain regular communication
• Research effective parent engagement practices used by youth organizations
• Track participation and recommend ways to strengthen the group
Ideal Candidate
• Takes initiative and enjoys developing new ideas
• Strong planning, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable contacting and engaging parents
• Creative, organized, and dependable
• Interested in family engagement, youth development, or nonprofit programming
• Comfortable supporting a Christian youth organization
