Organization: beyWIsee Foundation
Location: Primarily Remote (U.S.) with occasional in-person support for events
Time Commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per week during peak seasons; fewer than 5 hours per week during slower periods.

About Us

beyWIsee Foundation is committed to creating opportunities and providing resources for students in underserved communities through impactful programs and community initiatives. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to help us build and strengthen our volunteer program.

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about community impact and enjoys connecting with people. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a key role in recruiting, engaging, and supporting volunteers while helping develop processes that will strengthen our volunteer program as the organization grows.

This is an unpaid volunteer leadership role that offers meaningful nonprofit experience and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and onboard new volunteers.
  • Maintain communication with current volunteers and keep them engaged.
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules for programs and events.
  • Help develop and improve volunteer policies, procedures, and onboarding materials.
  • Match volunteers with opportunities based on their skills and interests.
  • Track volunteer participation and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with planning volunteer appreciation and recognition efforts.
  • Attend and help coordinate in-person volunteer activities during foundation events.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify volunteer needs and support organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable using email, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers, events, or teams is a plus but not required.
  • Passion for serving youth and supporting nonprofit initiatives.
  • Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
