Volunteer Fundraising & Food Drive Coordinator

Help us bring food, hope, and support to local families.

The Volunteer Fundraising & Food Drive Coordinator will work directly with pantry leadership to develop fundraising opportunities, coordinate community food drives, and build relationships with local businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, and other community organizations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate community food drives.
• Contact businesses, churches, schools, and organizations about hosting food drives or supporting the pantry.
• Identify potential donors, sponsors, and community supporters.
• Assist with fundraising campaigns and donation requests.
• Coordinate collection dates, locations, volunteers, supplies, and transportation.
• Prepare outreach emails, letters, flyers, and social media announcements.
• Track contacts, commitments, donations, and upcoming activities.
• Follow up with participating organizations and thank supporters.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers for food drives and special events.
• Provide regular progress updates to pantry leadership.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal volunteer is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating by phone and email, and willing to take initiative. Experience in fundraising, event planning, sales, marketing, nonprofit work, or community outreach is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment

Approximately 3–5 hours per week, with additional availability around scheduled food drives or fundraising events. Some outreach and administrative responsibilities may be completed remotely, while food drives and pantry events may require in-person participation in Missouri City.

Volunteer Guidelines

All fundraising activities, sponsorship requests, and donation campaigns must be approved by pantry leadership. Monetary donations must be processed through The Bridge Pantry’s authorized donation channels. Volunteers will not personally collect, hold, deposit, or manage donated funds.
