The public relations volunteer intern will be responsible for the following:
- 50% Media Relations: Building and maintaining media lists, drafting press releases, and pitching stories to journalists
- 25% Content Creation: Developing content for social media platforms, blog posts, and newsletters and assist the Social Media Intern
- 25% Events & Administration: Assisting with the planning of announcements, product releases and events with our partner nonprofit animal rescues. Develop a PR strategy and schedule.
Must have access to google sheets
Typically, PR interns are juniors, seniors, or recent graduates with strong written communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Professionals looking for work continuity between roles or to gain hours in a different field are more than welcome to apply for this need.
