Our peer support guests volunteer their time at MHI by overseeing the day-to-day duties of the houses for the emergency shelter guests. They receive free room & board and no stipend. Many have expressed the need to take a break. Unfortunately, many have no other place to take a weekend pass.
We would love to have in-kind donations of local hotels/motels in Houston of a 2 or 3 day stay for this special group. The donation could come directly from hotel management or in the form of a gift card. Magnificat Houses, Inc. (MHI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for this donation. Please retain our receipt for your records.
