Come join us on Zoom! Help job seekers refine their interview skills by asking real-world questions and offering constructive feedback. Your guidance will boost their confidence, improve communication, and prepare them for job opportunities.
Time commitment: 3x a month on Thursdays, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
What: As a Mock Interviewer, you will assist our clients currently enrolled in our Job Search Accelerator (JSA) class. Volunteers help clients practice their job interviewing skills by asking difficult interview questions and providing feedback after each question. Serving in this capacity, you will instill hope and confidence for those navigating a job search.
When: This is a virtual volunteer opportunity that takes place 3x a month from 12:30PM-2:00PM. Volunteers meet on Zoom as a group and then meet with 1-3 clients in a breakout room.
Responsibilities:
- conduct mock interviews with 2-3 clients
- ask interview questions to simulate real scenarios
- provide feedback and encouragement to build confidence
- participate in group discussions to reinforce learning
Qualifications
- experience in conducting interviews or participating in the hiring process is helpful
- comfortable with engaging with clients in a supportive and professional manner
- ability to provide constructive, encouraging feedback
