The Emerson ESL Program seeks teachers and classrooms assistants for its free English classes offered Tuesday and Thursday nights at Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church in the Galleria area. www.emersonhouston.org
Are you eager to help adults learn English and be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic volunteer team who are passionate about supporting English language learners in our community? No experience needed for classroom assistants (some later move into teaching). Teachers need prior ESL teaching experience.
Teachers and assistants are asked to commit to one evening/week for our 14-week semesters (Fall and Spring only). There are other volunteer opportunities available for one-time events or less frequent recurring needs. Please contact our program coordinator, Rachel, to learn how you can become part of our exciting program that's making a difference in the lives of our students and our Houston community.
