HUGGS Inc. is hosting an American Red Cross Shelter Fundamentals volunteer training at the ARC Houston headquarters.
Shelter Fundamentals is a basic-level course that introduces the guidelines and procedures for opening, organizing, operating, and closing an emergency shelter during a disaster. Volunteers will use Red Cross shelter checklists and work through a case study covering key phases of the sheltering cycle.
This instructor-led training is provided in partnership with the American Red Cross and prepares volunteers to support shelter operations during disasters and community emergencies.
