Join us on Saturday, January 10th, as we plant 1,000 native tree seedlings in Freed Art and Nature Park, just minutes from Downtown Houston.
Freed Art and Nature Park is one of Houston’s officially designated nature preserves, and the Friends of Woodland Park proudly partners with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) to help protect and restore its natural habitat and biodiversity.
Thanks to grant funding from the State of Texas and the Student Conservation Association, HPARD is undertaking an important restoration effort to remove invasive plants and reintroduce native tree species. We need your help to make it a success.
We’ll provide gloves, tools, water, and snacks. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
We hope to see you there!
