Avenue's Build Up Bash is looking for event staff volunteers!
All volunteer opportunites are on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at White Oak Music Hall (2915 N. Main, 77009)
Available Opportunities:
During Event:
Shift 1: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Check-in: Check-in guests via GiveSmart, give guests a program and other collateral (if needed)
Greeters/Ushers: Lead guests to tables or to mezzanine, direct guests to auction, restrooms, bar, etc
Auction Attendants: Help people register and bid, give general auction info (closing time, pick-up), move items to pick-up area at end of event
Treasure Chest Attendants: Attendant at treasure chest raffle. Sell keys to unlock chests, give prize to winner or place at auction pick-up site
Shift 2: 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Table Attendants: Mark "sold" on centerpieces (package when sold to give to guest or place at auction pick-up site), Collect guest donations (if cash/checks)
Mezzanine Attendants: Greet Stand Together Guests, direct toward tables, restrooms, encourage bidding downstairs after program
Shift 3: 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Auction Attendants: Help people register and bid, give general auction info (closing time, pick-up), move items to pick-up area at end of event
Treasure Chest Attendants: Attendant at treasure chest raffle. Sell keys to unlock chests, give prize to winner or place at auction pick-up site
Donations/Auction Pick-up: Accept monetary donations and auction payments, sign out purchased items, package/bag any large items
Post-Event: 10:00pm-11:00pm
Event Break-down: Remove any remaining centerpieces, remove signage, pick up any programs or items left at the end of the night
