Event Planning Support Volunteer – ROCK the Block (Remote/Flexible)

Description

The AIP BIPOC Network is seeking a volunteer to support the planning and coordination of our annual ROCK the Block Community Health & Resource Expo. You’ll help with logistics, vendor coordination, and event prep so that everything runs smoothly. Your work will directly support our mission to improve the quality of life of the BIPOC Autoimmune Community through Awareness, Advocacy, Action, Assessment, and Alignment.


Tasks:

  • Assist with event planning checklists and timelines

  • Communicate with vendors, exhibitors, and community partners

  • Help organize event materials (program guides, signage, supply lists)

  • Support tracking of budgets, deposits, and contracts

  • Provide input on community engagement activities


Time Commitment:

  • 4–6 hours per month leading up to the event (increasing closer to event date)

  • Remote with occasional virtual check-ins


Skills Needed:

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience with events, logistics, or project coordination a plus
