We seek volunteer ESL teachers and assistant teachers for the spring semester and beyond. Our ESL program offers free English classes for adults on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, 1900 Bering Drive, Houston.
For teacher volunteers, prior ESL teaching experience is needed; no experience needed for assistant teachers (who often become teachers). Volunteers teach/assist once a week although the classes are twice a week.
Other volunteer opportunities are also available for special program needs. Our Program started in 2015 and our students come from around the world. Come join a great group of volunteers dedicated to welcoming and supporting English language learners in our community.
