Internship Description: This position is open to students who want to learn
about health case management with refugees and displaced populations.
Duties:
Assist in the coordination of health-related services for clients, including:
assessment, developing service plans, follow-up support and case file
documentation
Research health providers and community resources and advocate for clients
as necessary
Create and give presentations to refugees on health-related topics in
coordination with the Refugee AmeriCorps Cultural Orientation Program
Maintain a high level of organization in documenting activities within client
case files and computer databases
Work closely with clients with disabilities and their RST case manager to
provide health care
Qualifications:
Flexible and manage time appropriately
Willingness to work with diverse populations
Prior experience with diverse and/or vulnerable populations preferred
Computer competency
Organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
