We are seeking self-motivated Movers, Packers & Unpackers to assist Hurricane Harvey survivors move, pack or unpack during their recovery process. Volunteers will perform a variety of task such as:
- Assist survivors with prepping for packing by helping them to clean personal belongings if needed.
- Pack survivors personal belongings and memorabilia in boxes.
- Move boxed items into PODS storage containers
- Unpack survivor’s personal belongings, memorabilia, and store these items where needed.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older with transportation to get to and from the site of service.
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with survivors
- Be careful and respectful with the survivor’s personal items and memorabilia.
- Respect and be sensitive to cultural differences
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of The Alliance, its volunteers, partners, donors and survivors.
