The Houston Community ToolBank stewards an inventory of tools for use in the charitable sector. These tools are out in our city everyday making an impact, but along with that impact comes a few broken tools. We need help repairing and maintaining these tools, so they can be put back out into the community.
We are seeking a regular tool maintenance volunteer. Availability could vary, but ideally the volunteer could be available once every week or two weeks.
Possible tasks:
- replace handles on garden tools such as shovels or rakes
- repair flat tires or wobbly wheelbarrows
- (if possible) small engine repair & maintenance on lawnmowers, weed eaters, generators, etc.
Requirements:
-Closed-toe shoes & work clothes
We would appreciate any skill level you can bring!
