Description

Have you always wanted to teach and help others from all over the world? Now, you can!  Available positions are needed to teach highly motivated adults who are seeking to better their English and life skills. Many are learning English for specific purposes such as: a better job, to help their children in school, or to earn their citizenship. Citizenship tutors help prepare students for their naturalization test. Interested volunteers should be able to read, write and speak English fluently. It is not necessary to be bilingual to be a tutor. As an ESL/Citizenship volunteer you are asked to be available for a specific amount of time dependent on the student’s availability that suits you best.  Volunteer applicants must have the ability and willingness to teach English in a patient, respectful manner to people of all walks of life. Previous experience greatly appreciated but not necessary. Teacher training and classroom observation always available.
