Bike Around the Bay is the Galveston Bay Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. It is a two-day, 175-mile ride around the Bay that brings together people who care about cycling, community, and conservation, raising critical funds to protect and preserve Galveston Bay for generations to come.
As a volunteer, you’re the heartbeat of the ride. From early-morning check-ins and cheering riders along the route, to keeping rest stops running smoothly and welcoming cyclists at the finish line, your energy makes every mile possible.

Currently we are recruiting volunteers for the following roles - click through the links to view more information and sign up:
- BAB prep days - multiple shifts Oct 7-16
- Oct. 17 - Loading Day - 10:30-2:30 AM
- Oct. 18 Day 1 -Start Line Support - 6:00-9:00 AM
- Oct. 18 Day 1 - Finish Line Support - 10:30-4:00 PM
- Oct 19 Day 2 - Start Line Support - 6:00-10:00 AM
- Oct 19 Day 2 - Finish Line Support - 10:30-2:30 PM
