Join us at GBF headquarters to make your own personal monofilament and nurdle collection containers. These containers are a great way to help keep the places you care about clean. This will be a relaxed, seated opportunity to customize your very own portable recycling containers. We will provide all the materials to make the containers themselves, including markers and some stickers. We encourage you to bring any markers, stickers, etc. from home if you'd like to add them to your containers!
PURPOSE
Nurdles are small plastic pellets made in Houston that are often found along Gulf Coast shorelines. Monofilament, AKA fishing line, is prolific in these areas as well. By creating these containers and keeping them nearby, you'll be able to participate in the beautification of your neighborhood AND the citizen science efforts that are being made in Houston-Galveston communities.
