Help a Mission-Driven Team Use Asana with Confidence
At the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) Houston), we partner with youth and young adults from under-resourced communities to create meaningful opportunities in education, leadership and career development. Through programs like Urban Scholars and Higher Pathways, we equip students with the tools they need to thrive—and we’re always investing in how we work as a team to serve them better.
We’re looking for a volunteer Asana trainer and workflow coach to help our staff become more confident in using Asana. We’ve already integrated the platform—we’re ready to refine and optimize how we use it across programs, operations and communications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Facilitating a few training sessions (1.5 hours each) focused on Asana best practices
Coaching staff through features like tasks, timelines, templates and portfolios
Helping us create clearer, more efficient workflows for managing programs, events and internal operations
Providing light support as staff continue to apply what they’ve learned
What We’re Looking For:
Hands-on experience using Asana in a team or organizational setting
Ability to explain systems clearly and support various tech comfort levels
A thoughtful, encouraging approach to training
A passion for building capacity within mission-driven teams
This role is great for:
Project managers or operations professionals with a heart for service
Retired or semi-retired professionals looking to share their expertise
Asana enthusiasts who enjoy coaching others and improving collaboration
Training sessions can be held in person at our Northwest Freeway office, virtually, or in the evening to best fit your schedule. Whether you're available during the week or after hours, your time and expertise will make a meaningful difference.
If you enjoy helping great teams work even better, we’d love to connect.
