Position Overview:
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help us grow and engage our online community, spread awareness of our mission, and drive support for our programs and events. The ideal volunteer will be a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills to create content that highlights the voices of single parents and promotes the impact of our work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Create, schedule, and curate engaging content including posts, graphics, and videos.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media channels.
  • Track social media analytics and adjust strategies based on performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote events, campaigns, and success stories.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and recommend new ideas to boost engagement.
  • Help manage the organization’s online presence and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with experience in creating engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Passion for the mission of The Single Parent That Could and a desire to make an impact in the lives of single parents.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus.

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible hours with a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.
  • Remote work is available.
