We are currently seeking a volunteer grant writer to help us secure funding for our programs and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission and experience in writing compelling grant proposals. Your contributions will help us expand our impact and reach more single parents in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Write and submit grant proposals, including letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funding organizations.
- Track grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
- Work closely with the Board and/or program managers to gather necessary information for proposals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct research and identify appropriate funding sources.
- Passion for the mission of The Single Parent That Could and an understanding of the challenges faced by single parents.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible hours with a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.
