Invest 30 Minutes to Change a Life
Join us to make a lasting impact in the life of a middle school student this year! Mentors meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays for 30 minutes during the lunch hour (11:30–12:00 or 12:30–1:00, depending on grade level).
Sharing a meal encourages connection—so we provide pizza for both students and mentors! Mentoring youth is rooted in trust and relationship, and it takes time to build. But once that connection forms, the rewards can last a lifetime—for both the mentor and the mentee.
At Friends of Westchase, mentoring might look like playing UNO while sharing a slice of pizza, listening as a student talks about friendships or academic challenges, or discussing a meaningful monthly topic like kindness, grit, or gratitude. We follow a curriculum designed to engage middle school students in conversations that matter.
